Emily Wendling from the Flushing High School Graduating Class of 2012, and current SVSU Junior, was selected for her third Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week. According to MLive Emily is averaging some of the best stats in her division. So far this season, she is currently averaging the most points per game in the GLIAC with 21.6 points per game while also averaging 10.4 rebounds per game which is second most in the GLIAC. In her last two games she scored 31 points in SVSU’s game against Malone and shot 68.4% from the field while also grabbing 14 rebounds. She had 29 points in the matchup against Walsh and made 66.7% of her shots with 15 rebounds. These are the stats that gained her the Player of the Week honor. Congratulations Emily!
